Once all of the Federally regulated stuff like air bags, ABS, etc. is gone these cars get very light. It just doesn't make sense to add the amount of weight to these cars that you are asking. My 2015 is legal and weighs a little over 3100 lbs with driver when there is no ballast in it.

Also, the shipping weight for the 2010 is wrong. I purchased a zero option SS. It was quite a lot lighter than the published spec.
