The same rule applies to the Factory Stock Showdown, quicker person deserves lane choice. It's one of those unwritten rules that was established years ago. I can't remember exactly when it was decided in SS/AH but I can say I was there when it was decided for FS/XX. It was a rule that was made on the spot in the staging lanes and it has stuck ever since. |

sure seems to be a lot of unwritten rules with the ah bunch....you all do realize that you're just superstockers don't ya?.....so what happens when a guy wasn't at one of your meetings....just shows up.....having read the rulebook......and you say...."we all had a talk"....

Marlin , on topic of index , I went to Pat in nhra tech and explained how our index got hit by .45 instead of .30 like all the ss classes and showed him how the fastest car at indy was 109 , He said if competitors in ss/ah would email him they would consider helping us. So call nhra and get his email and email him about a change.

This is nothing new, there are a lot of unwritten rules in every class. It's no different than the speed limit. If it says 70 mph, we all know you can go 75-80 mph without a problem. Is that in writing? I doubt it. Trust me, I don't like it either, I wish things were more clear in writing, but they are not. And there is nothing I can do about it. I have tried and was laughed at more than once. But in the end, as much as it sucks at times, this is the sport I love and chose. For me, personally, the NHRA is still the best deal in town. If you don't like the NHRA, then get the hell out and go somewhere else. Don't talk down on me for playing the game. I certainly didn't make the rules. Our teams have always played within the rules and are very well respected in the community. You jerks that want to keep re-hashing the intake flange deal are just plain retarded. Our heads are legal and always have been. If you want to see them, stop by some time, I will give you a tour. |
