What class are you planning on running?

Good luck with your project.

No class in particular. The goal is to put together a reliable street/strip car that most anyone can duplicate. These parts will be in the latest catalog. Chevrolet really wants to see more of these cars running at the dragstrip.

Thanks. I have done several of these "how-to" builds on different forums. They are fun to do. Kind of a crossover from what we do.

So what your saying is there's a manufacturer out there that actually wants to support racing and racers?

Cool build.

Cool build.
It's always good to see more late model performance machines at the track.
Great quality pics.

Dodge also has a factory built drag race inspired new car coming out ( or is already out)....the "1320" Challenger

Now....if only Ford built a drag race themed Mustang GT without all the added weight of heated seats, 20 speakers, and other non essentials....

They used to have it, order an LX with no options, they pulled the plug because everyone figured out you could buy a lighter faster Mustang for a whole lot less money than a GT. I bought one in '87 for $11,008 delivered, a GT was more in the $20K range.

Are the up grades going to be emissions compliant?

From the looks of the headers and exhaust system pictured on the link provided, I would say no ?
