You can also make a template from a cereal box-type cardboard, and make them out of aluminum or steel.

I used to make them, about 20 years ago. Never found much of a market.
The pre-bent ones take a big box to ship. Also many racers have stretched wheel openings, where a specific model part number won't fit well. Unless a racer /fabricator is willing to work with you at the track, I'd suggest making your own. Find a small sign shop near you. They'll have .040 aluminum, which doesn't need to be pre-rolled. Also , they will have baked on aluminum in colors. Make a cardboard pattern with one crease on the corner. Have them shear out the metal , and brake the bends for you. Frank Ferrucci, Thinking of you , bud . ;-) More specifics? PM me.

I believe Randy's father Steve makes them (formally Sid's Sheet Metal, Rt 18. Lakeville MA.)
United Automotive Services 298 Bedford St. Lakeville MA 02347 (508) 947-7005 Back in the day, Sid's used to make some "Way-Cool" Sheet Metal & Aluminum Carb covers. |
