God you'd have to think one of those legends will find this as distasteful as we do here, right?
Here's a visual for you WJ pulls into the beams seething, stages the "Toilet Odor" putting the engine against its limiter in neutral, banzai's the tranny on go, launching it's internals all over the starting line...LOL!

Well, look at the bright side, WJ won’t be complaining about track prep. But I do miss his top end interviews. Driving Toyotas gives new legs to his old quote about flopper pilots, “even a blind man could drive one”.
Suppose Jim Head has removed the Ray Charles caricature from his cars, a product of fans wondering “what’s up with that” and the PC police.

Toyota has 14 plants building automobiles, three R&D facilities, employing 46.000 in direct jobs,200.000 outsourcing parts in the U.S. I think it’s time for their entry. Lots has changed since Pearl Harbor. Toyota and Nissan have opened more plants in the U.S than GM and Ford combined.NHRA needs the new participation and money they will bring.

Are assembled inCanada? half of those cars are built in Canada, all the steel, panels and transmission, motors built in the U.S. This was all part of North American auto pact signed in 1970. Canadians buy millions of U.S vehicles every year. Unlike Mexico,Canada wage structure is even higher in Canada than the U.S. Toyota and Nissan have some very fast cars. Open yourself to something new, if you don,t NHRA will be doomed tp fail in this new era.Don’t forget that kids now aren’T interested in the automobile anymore.CR

All true, and sad, and the reasons for them being able to come here and eat the Big 3's lunch by doing so are great topics of conversation, but not here. I'm sure the Legends are getting paid, and I doubt they much care what they are given to drive. |
