look at Speedway motors part #91005960--its a 5/8-11----- 4 inches long with a .685 knurled --you will haft change lug nuts but this should solve your problem --$13.99 set of 5--- now all you have to do is get the appropriate nuts--FED 387

Or send the axles back and have them drilled and taped for the big studs.

What Larry said...if you roam the pits you’ll note Stock Eliminator is about the only class you’ll even see many 1/2 inch studs. My car has a good 9 inch setup but surprisingly was built using the smaller studs, and after breaking two studs it was hard to even find some last weekend (thanks to Mike McMahan, the Valdosta r/u, for the loaners). Moser sells the whole 5/8 stud kit for $80 so is by far the way to go. Losing a rear slick is never a pretty picture.

Thanks for everyone's replys. I thinking I'm going to go the drill and tap the axles route . I want to keep the 5/8" 18TPI .
When ordering new axles, thread in studs is really the best way to go in my opinion. Steve STK. 6380. |
