I'm sure the race will be fun, and I'm sure the folks working to organize it are working very hard to ensure everyone who attends will have a grand time.
But I'm still struggling with the concept that an official NHRA Wally could be granted for anything other than a certified NHRA Class or event win, at an official NHRA National or divisional event. A Wally is intended to be almost sacred. |

NHRA has been allowing the tracks to do Wally weekends for bracket racing for quite a long time now. It’s a nice program to give the local racers a chance to win a trophy that otherwise most would never have the opportunity too.
This sounds like a great race which is no surprise as they always are when Midwest Class Racers are involved. With any luck maybe we’ll be able to attend this year. Rick |
