Lazy way for the promoter to break down payout. This actually makes the purse look bigger than it really is.Sorry John i just don't like it.

It is very common in our S/SS Association races. To work a 60/40 split/modification of the money. One year, we had a race in Hagerstown MD that was to pay $2,500 win/$1,300 R/U. They elected to do $2,000 W/$1.800 R/U. Only once did we have a 50/50 split. They always run the final.
