It will tighten up the converter but not a set amount. Every combination will be a little different.

Thanks Marty that is exactly what I was looking for.

The kinematic viscosity of the Max Duty is similar to heavier hydraulic fluids such as John Deere Hy-Gard and Allison Transynd. Most regular trans fluids regardless of brand have similar kinematic viscosity. I imagine it depends on weight, rpm, and torque on what the converter will see.

Also what happens to different fluids at different temperatures.

Most manufactures post their kinematic viscosity at 40 and 100 degrees so that you can compare them.

Torco also offers low and high viscosity ATF as well.

If you do plan on trying the heavier oils, make sure you use a screen type filter, not fabric type
