Here is my interpretation. I'm trying to do this with all the 1960-71 or so NHRA results (before the big rule changes in 1972).
It takes some guesses & lots of help to nail down all the cars & engines, any corrections appreciated! I use burnt-clutch black font for stick cars, and dripping-red ATF color for auto cars. It helps me a lot to "color code" the engines, it really shows who was dominant in any given year. Trying to be terse so it fits but info-rich. For example, LR=LowRiser, SD=SuperDuty, m=mechanical h=hydraulic cam, i6=6-cylinder, etc. For the cars, 2ds=2-door-sedan, sw4d9p=station-wagon, 4door, 9passenger, etc. EDIT 28 June I made the engine font easier to read hopefully. Lots of engine combos to guess or sometimes somebody remembers. If not sure, I color a box pink, meaning a guess. Last edited by DeuceCoupe; 06-28-2019 at 04:55 PM. |
