Super Stock photos, Stock is done for day. They will be finishing up the race from Lebanon for Super Stock and Super Comp later today. Super Stock is still waiting on their second shot.

Good evening boys n girls - If for some reason you decided to skip this race it was a bad decision as it has it all .Cloudy - hot - .humid and full pits . What a greeting -- it should be some race - would you believe its August and we have 112 stockers and more coming in .And lets not forget speed and ET- New Jersey resident Ken Kopecky is on the provisional pole at more than a second under in his Demon .
Traction has been an issue - yesterday was terrible and this morning after the crack NHRA Division guys prepped the place it was great .But then the afternoon Sun arrived and some of the greatness went away .They are trying - ask Bob Bender who led the stockers out both rounds with his two and a quarter ton Kingswood wagon and swears he had shook the tires on both runs . Me??? I decided to bring out my old faithful COPO coupe which hasn't been raced in over a year - now you know why you haven't heard from me all day .There will be clean-ups tonight and another round of time trials tomorrow morning then into elims tomorrow afternoon. Tonight they'll also run the Top 8 stuff and its not for beginners - 8 spots and 8 hitters in Stock . I've got a bunch of pics to post later on when the Internet gets better -till then …….

Hey guys, I had to go home for tonight. I will be back tomorrow as I only live 45 miles from the track. I wanted to post more photos and qualifying, but it will have to wait until tomorrow when I get back to the track. |
