If the vehicle is in the guide then it is a race car/truck, right?? Not everyone can afford a $100,000 race car. The diversity of the cars is what keeps Stock interesting. Whether it is a Pinto wagon, Malibu station wagon or a Chevy or Dodge truck have fun with it. Work on it until it is FAST.
Yes, some combos are FAST because of the H.P. rating and that needs to be fixed.

I'm with the crowd that believes ALL class winners should be in the eliminator and then fill the rest of the field with quickest qualifiers from there. ALL classes with single entries goes into Auto or Stick combo classes to get a single car in as and "automatic" qualifier.
This only matters at INDY (unless I'm unaware of another race they let in over 128 cars). Every class winner to be torn down with R-up to follow in tear down if and only if winner is found to be illegal. to include this new cylinder head enforcement to the mix... I think if the cylinder heads are brought back in line with the rules the indexes don't need changing.. start enforcing the rules already written and the cars won't be going 1.2+ under unless they're failing tear down after. |
