14 hours x 60 minutes = 840 divided by 600 rigs =1.4 minutes per rig . What could go wrong? Start parking on Monday rain or shine. Nhra has had 60 plus years to get parking figured out no excuses.

Good morning everyone, they have been puling rigs as of 7am at a brisk pace. The staging lanes full of rigs are almost empty and they should be going back to the fields soon.

The weather is beautiful today, so at least we that. Hopefully the many races that had to wait to get in can get settle in and try to have a fun week of racing. I am so dishearten how this race has started out. I know if I was not park, I would be stressing out. There is no good reason for this to have happen.

I will be back later with photos and any other news of the day.

In fairness to the situation at Indy, Monday night into Tues. morning it rained very hard on to what was already very wet ground. I was sure things looked very bad for parking, NHRA did their best of a tough situation, I was there.

I just checked the detailed run schedule and it says 11am Stock 1st qualifying run. Is that Eastern time or your time??? All I want to do is get my $26 Nhra tv money worth and watch you guys on my Android phone!! God bless you guys for waiting.

If I recall right Indy is on EST....it changes to CST west of Indy somewhere.....

Not sure if that's correct anymore but it was in the past....

No they (NHRA) didn't do their best. They could have and should have added additional parking staff when they were faced with the weather issue. Adding additional parking staff would of resulted in quicker parking for everyone. I'm sure everyone and me included would like to have a business where the customer pays in advance for 3 items. Let's say for the sake of illustration we'll use time runs/qualifying as an example. Then because I can't get the customer into my business, I just say screw you. You are only getting 2 of the items (time runs/qualifying) you paid for.

Additional parking staff for what? Parking 100,000 rigs on already saturated soil?
Other than complaining, that's your solution? Parking Staff tried to keep most of us in staging on asphalt, I appreciated that, JUST my opinion. Tony Tosto #5302
