As expected NHRAtv is showing a 11:00 start even though Stock is scheduled to roll out at 7:30. If in fact they don’t start with the sportsman’s classes I’m going to contest the charge on my credit card for not providing coverage as advertised.
Also, since they don’t show the Norwalk show as an upcoming event does that coverage revert back to a Warren provided event? Which is fine if it does BTW.

Yep, I was told coverage of ALL. 7:30 and no coverage. What's up with that? Jumped the gun. Good work NHRA.TV

It did not work here until part way thru Stock this morning....
I am watching it live for the first time this year. Watching it on a buddies dime.....and its been working fine after being jittery earlier.... Its dark, dank and has been raining here in New Jersey. Can't go outside so might as well watch todays race.... Indy weather looks to be improving and should be good the rest of the day....

FYI for all - The regular crew came in on Friday and took over the operation. I helped a bit with the production on Friday but was released for the rest of the weekend and came home yesterday. The Norwalk coverage will be my usual setup, but only available on NHRA.tv. I'll be back to dragracer.tv coverage on Saturday from Earlville, IA.

Very poor service. No reply from their “help” line. Only way I could watch it was with a lot of buffering getting kicked off numerous times and having to go through the whole process all over again. Yes, I got better service on my ipad but it is Nhra.tv isn’t it? They won’t get any more money from me.

All,
I had great luck with the service all weekend long. If you consider everything that this streaming show requires, its quite a phenomenal deal. I was entertained and saw every round of SS and never left the house! I hope Warren helps out in the future, it was totally worth the price, and it shows how you need to get the best internet service possible. I like to discuss equipment with people all the time, and would like to know what works best. Maybe you can stream through an apple to your streaming smart TV, but I use a wired windows setup. The TV is a G series panansonic plasma TV, hooked up to a windows 7 Acer Revo PC, with a HDMI cable, and use a high speed cable modem. My area is about to get fiber optic, so that is going to be next. You need to prepare your setup before trying to stream, so try the website speedtest.net, to check your download speed. Max out your download speed, and then try again. One of the most amazing sides of the show is the unfiltered style. How about the nitro funny car crew guy, getting an earful for not tightening a valve cover, and leaking all over the starting line? Or Erica Enders telling the camera guy to get the camera away from her after she lost? Lots of neat little things were picked up, and then there were few commercials for most of it. That won't last, but I liked the raw unfiltered element. It was pretty good overall, with some lapses, and I didn't like the last 4 rounds of camera angles, but hey it was there. They should drop the christmas tree camera, which was pointed into the light above the crossover bridge at night (video of a light doesn't work). Also bad was the wide angle ground camera, laying next to the guardrail. They should just get a few basic good camera angles, like Warren had the first 2 days. The show quality is way good for the Pro sections, which is likely the intended target. Us sportsmen guys are lucky to see what we do? Thanks for helping move this forward Warren, and your info and replies |
