Perhaps with the extra entry fee money they can invest in score boards that you can actually read.

Like a lot of things today, I have mixed emotions about Gateway.


No, it's not a good thing to try and extract more from racers.


But the new owner of the place has taken a much more professional approach to the track. They've landed a corporate sponsor and have managed to change the area media from ignoring racing completely. In the last couple of years, coverage is now on a par with the professional sports teams and there is extensive coverage before and after a major race.


That's good for racing and racers since no doubt it's bringing more people out and giving a lot more exposure to what we do and how exciting it is.


But I wish they'd have laid off the racers who provide their show and reason for being. Like I said, mixed emotions.

Virginia- 170 driver and car. 50 for crew, free spectators, 13.09 for spectators for Thursday test and tune. Friday-Sunday- FREE!

Well, the Sportsnats at Columbus 2 weeks ago had the same issue....I was always taught to observe your dial in before you stage....you stage you bought it....what do you do when you can’t see the dial on the scoreboard ?? C mon D -3 ...you are BETTER than that .!!!!!
