Besides being easier, I would expect it would be less costly to build a slower/lower class car in many instances. Breakage in drivetrain less frequent as well.

There was a Cadillac turn key Super Stocker ( GT car ) with trailer for sale at the August 2019 Bowling Green , KY division race. I think it was $ 25K with spare parts for everything.

That would be Ken Sharp selling his Eldorado, with all the spares he had that would be a good buy. You can go thru some of Warren’s D3 videos and see it run. I’d review the D3 events at Bowling Green and Norwalk, seem to remember Unk talking about the car.
