Assuming we're limiting it to combinations in the NHRA class guide:

1962 Buick/Olds 215 (Special, Jetfire...)

1969 Cadillac 472 (El Dorado, De Ville..)
* Side note - anybody want to build a Cadillac 75 Limousine with this engine? It fits O/SA at 5,795 lbs with a driver!

121 Cubic inch V-8 Ferrari in 1970's

221 CI in Flathead Fords in early 30's and OHV early 60's Ford


500 Cubic inch in late 60's Cadillac

500 Cubic inches in late Mopars

Dodge had a 8.4 Liter engine at one time ( 512 cu in ) in the Viper.

The Dodge Ram SRT-12 pick up trucks had those Viper engines but were 505 cu. inches ( 8.3 liter )

I agree.

Some guys still run then in bracket out here = Usually not in a
Caddy Body.
