Has anyone tried the '82 Mustang GT 302/2bbl - stick combo ?

Or is it factored too high ?

Would be 2,682 lbs with driver in P/S

There were a couple in the NW with automatics that ran well, until the transmission deal was clamped down on.
Definitely NOT factored too high.
I've heard of a couple being built, but never saw them out there.
Those cars did a disappearing act , even around here. Believe me ..Been looking for 5 years.
One of the few carb-ed cars I'd build in this day and age.
I'd run R/Stock , for sentimental reasons..3000 lbs , not too heavy for a stick car.

I know everyone wants 1.20 under handed to them, but this is an easy 1.20 under car with a little effort.

Why?!? 135 HP with a 1bbl carb and an integral intake. 302 @157 HP has big 2bbl carb, big "marine" cam and aluminum intake AND 100 extra cubes. Give me the 302 and the extra 22 HP.

If your goal is truly lite weight, my car is 2145 min in SS/ES and 2290 in SS/FS. I can make ES with minimal ballast. I'm in the early stages of building a SS/CX car with min wt of 1815.

I could only wish to be that lite, 3514 minimum to make V/SA and it's supposed to be a compact car.
