Rory, found a picture of Mikes car. Mike's a sign painter, the Gold Rush was done in gold leaf.

Jim, Mike Bowyer lived a few blocks from our house in Delta, I still remember seeing him drive that car past our house, all lettered up, and sounding cooler than hell. Made a big impression on my then adolescent mind! I seem to recall there was more stickers and possibly different lettering on the 57, did it look different over the years?

I wanted to get into Stock eliminator since I started racing, I told my ex-wife that it was a dream of mine to race at divisionals and eventually a National event. She said it was nothing but a pipedream and I should concentrate on making more money. I finally built a car with lots of help from Neil Smedley and Jess Suter, while I was building it, someone asked what I was gonna name it, and I wasn't sure at the time. I mumbled something about my dream is almost there and I had to explain what I meant. It was unanimous, PIPEDREAM became the name. I haven't won a divisional or a National yet, and I will keep trying. I was #1 qualifier at a National, and was featured in a Pontiac magazine and I had to send a copy of the magazine to each of the kids and to the ex wife certified mail, so I know she got it.
