One would think it would be much easier to get the divisional races going ahead of the nationals. You could just as well run them with no spectators they really don't draw many any way. Limit each car to 3 or 4 people. require mask for every one space out the pits some. and away you go shouldn't be that big of a deal.

With Denver and Sonoma off the schedule hard to believe Seattle National will happen. On FB some of the National Event tracks are posting their new dates, Gainesville in Sept for instance, and yep, it’s still hot in Florida then but they always draw a huge crowd.

I just heard from one who knows these things, Sonoma is not kaput, it's the week after Vegas and before the Pomona finals. 16 in a row. Seattle will be the first race, then Denver, Brainerd, Topeka, Chicago, Indy... they actually took the travel into consideration. Needless to say any points meets will conflict.

If it stays true:
Aug 1 & 2 - Seattle Aug 8 & 9 - Denver Aug 15 & 16th - Brainerd Aug 22nd & 23rd - Topeka Aug 29 & 30th - Chicago Sept 4 to 7 - Indy Sept 12 & 13th - Maple Grove Sept 19th & 20th - Charlotte Sept 26 & 27th - Gainesville Oct 3 & 4th - St. Louis Oct 10 & 11th - Bristol Oct 17 & 18th - Dallas Oct 24 & 25th - Houston Oct 31 & Nov 1st - Vegas Nov 7 & 8th - Sonoma Nov 14 & 15th - Pomona Norwalk isn't on the revised schedule for those who are wondering. Will probably just be like the plan was Sportsman time runs and maybe 1st round Friday and Pros Sat & Sun till completion. Going to be tough if they have weather or because they are so close to the next event Monday will become the next option. |
