How did he make it to 2nd round if he wasn’t on ladder and did not run 1st round? Maybe Stephanie Dikema ran 2nd round in super stock?

Stephanie had a heads up and rolled the beams. That's why DRC posted a no show because she didn't get a time.

Here is what I KNOW from yesterday. During the oil down for Craig Maddox, I was waiting to run towards the back of the qualifier. Trista Fenner tells me that her dad Larry Henderson was having cam lift checked. I thought that was a little odd but sure. As I roll across the scales at Topeka, I notice that there are 4 cars in the barn. Larry Henderson, Chris Knudsen, Dirk Olson and Johnny Diekema. All 396, stick combos. That’s even more odd.
This is what I HEARD, later on. I hear later that Johnny didn’t refuse tear down but told the officials that his cam would not check. Emphasis on word “hear”. I was talking with a gentleman in the lanes and he explained that the 65 396 lift is 461/500. Where as the 67 and up is 520/520. Did a couple quick checks and that is confirmed. Not speculating what cam lift is in the car, other than what some 396 years have for lift. It was a GREAT weekend to be at the track again. D5 and Rob Park do an excellent job. Other than stock, I can tell you that the tech staff pulled all first round winners in SG to the other side of barn to check safety equipment and plug into MSD Grid ignition boxes. D5 tech staff is always plentiful and always doing random checks. A good thing to see.

I do not have a grid system however, I do know not all who run the grid in s/g were not checked. It was random which did have some very concerned. Just my experience. Rick Cates Canyon, TX |

21 red lights combined for both races in the first round of Super Stock. Seems like a lot.
