Indy and Labor day weekend has long been a milestone in the flow of our lives for most of us reading this post.
No matter what other success you have enjoyed in your life the US Nationals is "the" race to win. This track has been very good to me over the decades and the source of so many of our fondest memories. By now you no doubt have guessed my answer. No, we will not be going, though I truly wish that were not the case. The reason is because of a simple belief I hold sacred and that is, that no matter how much wealth you may possess, you really have little in this world if you and yours don't have your health. One alternative is Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, Iowa, a MWCR double Sep't 5-6 and stay over for D5 LODRS, Sep't 11-12-13. Great campgrounds for stay over. Fast downhill staging lanes and track.
I think MWCR pays $2K to win each day for $100 entry |
