Jim- An added bonus to a closed face helmet is that it takes out a lot of peripheral vision out, eliminating a lot of distraction and improving concentration. I wouldn't go back to an open face just for that reason.

Simpson Bandit Full Face Carbon Fiber.
Lightweight and great opening for those that wear glasses. Yes, expensive because it is made of Carbon Fiber material and also made in the USA. In the event of an accident, you do not have a heavy helmet making your head act like a pendulum during impact.

Look at the RJS full face. I have the full face and the open face from RJS. I also wear glasses and have no problems ( good size opening) with either helmet. Jim
