Turbo 350 direct drum snap ring question

Best to leave the snap rings tacked in place . The rpm's these snap rings see compared to stock application is much higher . They tend to open up at high rpm and come out of the groove . Spirolocks are slightly better but cannot be reused , so it is better to tack weld in about three places .

Thanks for the reply, I guess ill have to practice up my tigging on a scrap piece.

The sun gear to sun gear shell snap ring is sometimes tacked, as well . They will come out.
