In talking to one of the promoters, the field is already full. He said he already has 90 entries. He will make another field, if he get's enough entries. You can pay at the gate. You do not need to pre enter for the 20k races.

Cool Re: Rules for SGMP race March 19

Is this a all run field for the 3 20K Races? Or will it be qualified 128 as like Indy?
Sorry if this has been answered but looking for clarity as we plan 2021.

Not thinking there's gonna be a whole lotta races on our coast for awhile.

Scott: if you do decide to go back for the race, if you have an open spot on the trailer I would be interested in talking. I could bring the Camaro down to Antioch.

Good afternoon all.
I cannot attend this race, so my opinion really has no weight.
However talking to a few friends that are on the fence about going.
Their concern seems to be about heads up runs, as they have cars that are on the slower end of their classes.
And I'm sure there will be a ton of I & J cars there.
For a non sanction race, with no points on the line, and no tear down.
Why have heads up? With this kind of money on the line!
I know, I know, it is how it is done.
But just food for thought, for the higher ups promoting this race.

This is a Class race. Not a bracket race with class cars. There's plenty of high dollar races to run if you want bracket racing.

Can I get an AMEN !!!!! .....Why have Heads Up ? ....Because the THREE promoters of this race have decided to. Without Heads Up runs, this is a (. ) race featuring class cars....

1. Calvin feel free to promote your own race. Your race...your rules.
2. Who said there would be no teardown?
3. This is JBD's race...they can set up the rules as they see fit. Support it or not...your choice.

Most racers race Stock and Super Stock for the challenge inserted by the rules (which include car, engine, and race conduct...as in indexes and possible heads up runs).

The conduct of the Stock and Super Stock race is becoming more like Comp, where the thought goes into the race prior to and during qualifying.
