Ported heads? Used to be illegal. Million-dollar aftermarket rotating assemblies with Honda rod journals? Same thing. Racing continues to grow more and more expensive (and therefore illogical), because nobody (and not just NHRA) takes truly decisive action against cheating. Laws don't stop behavior... enforcement does.
