We were just in the way here all weekend but WOW what a race. There were some technical difficulties with the track but if you thought you had an issue with your time runs they said don't hesitate to come up and grab another time shot. If you spun and didn't make it down come up and get another time shot. Lots and lots of freebies and give aways right from the first cars down the track, live band, free food, drinks, ice cream, $2k golf cart race #1 qualifier bonus, best burnout $$$, best wheelie $$$ etc. If you missed it, you really missed something special. I hope the whole BOLD Promotions staff as well as track boss Jeff Miles knows that the pits were buzzing about the event, how well people feel they were treated and just how much fun we all had. On a side note I want to let Randi Lynn know how much her efforts are appreciated, she was going wide open the whole time, organizing, setting up, announcing, the 1320 stands were super cool. you name it she was on it. Thank you!

It looks like Stock and Super Stock racing is alive and well.

The way this event is being run and all the fun that the racers are having is a sign of VERY GOOD things for the future of class racing. I may be over 2800 miles away, but watching the broadcast I feel like I am there (or maybe just wish I was).

If events like this keep happening, there is going to be a very good alternative to the regular NHRA stuff. I know the "Wally" is important to the racers, but it looks like the fun meter is OFF THE CHARTS at this event. Something to think about.

Thanks again for all the pictures and q sheets and the other info that have been put on here. The people in charge definitely know how to put on a great event. A big THANK YOU to Bo, Dave, Jason and Randi Lynn and don't forget Joe the announcer.

Wonder how bad it feels to lose $40,000, in one pass down the track ?
Best parallel I can think of is watching a PGA pro staring down a putt on the final hole with a potential playoff or 2nd place money on the line.

In the "big money' bracket races the "split" can start as early as the 1/4 finals. Depending on the $$ and the 'players'. Winner still gets a bigger %. Of course I know of some that NEVER split, "banana split"!

And congrats to you James, for getting to the semi finals on Saturday. The pressure on all these racers in the later rounds, especially in the dark, must have been intense.
