Originally a side project of The Grateful Dead and their friends, by the time the ."Powerglide" second album came out ,Jerry had gone back to his own deal, and the New Riders of the Purple Sage had settled in to a permanent lineup .
This R&B song written by Ashford and Simpson was covered by just about everyone in R&R The New Riders did a fair job with it. Been hangin round New Mexico, Santa Fe, .up to Taos..I ain't got no star on my shirt
