I don't want to play devils advocate for the track and I'm sure people will bash me over this but, they did lose a ton of money this weekend. You factor you had from what I was told by Danny 530 cars, by Saturday over 100 had pulled out already and Sunday about the same or more when they made the announcement it was going to Monday, I was sitting over in the booth with Betsy as the gangs of people were coming in & out. Then Monday they call it and more people came back to get refunds, all in the while they had to still bring staff in to sit in the rain, collect trash, run the concession stand and what little revenue they might have made on a Saturday Nights show with Jets and Alky was washed out because of the rain. I can tell you they had to pay for the Jet Cars to come in even though they never made a run, it's in the contract they sign....I'd be hoping for rain all the time to get paid if I ran a Jet...lol The staff kept asking "why are we here" to sit in the rain but, D1 was really hoping to race on Sunday afternoon (The forecast for Sunday looked great up until about Friday Night) so they couldn't send anyone home incase they started to race. It sucks for everyone involved but, to keep the lights on they had to try to make some money this weekend. I guess its a good thing I brought some $$$ in the week before...lol.

We can all play Monday Morning QB but, if they cancel Monday and the rain moves out, then you have people going "I can't believe we're sitting at home with it being sooooo sunny out." This reschedule has already caused more stress on myself then anyone else, that weekend was supposed to be the .90 Nationals and Top Sportsman / Dragster shootout at MG that we did last year, now I had to move to Labor Day for the .90 cars....which will cause less people because it's a holiday and Indy and then had to move the Top cars off that weekend to a June date because the Labor Day is Yellow Bullet. My phone has been non-stop since Monday....lol
