They make an extra long shoulder belt for floor mount behind the seat. RJS sells them.

I think they are, as long as you have something on the back bar to keep them sliding left or right.
Irrelevant anyway , unless you have a 6 pt. bar. What's the problem with stock OEM belts, anyway? This is a dime rocket, yes? If you're worried about being chased, why not put in a 6 pt. bar and racing belts..then, of course you'll need racing seats, because stock seats are not safe either. Probably ought to leave the air bags in, too. Also you'll want a big full face helmet where you can't see as much, being chased.. Go for it..all the way.. Kinda defeats the dime rocket idea though ;-)

Probably nothing wrong with OEM belts. I was just thinking someone must have installed aftermarket belts in a slow car without a roll bar & just wanted to see how they did it. This is definitly racing for cheap. I'm not looking to spend any more money than I have to. |
