131 stockers went down plus 2 more that pulled off at starting line. Alan kept saying class is next but we get one more qualifier first then class |

I have a request, for someone in the pits at Indy. Irvin Johns is listed on DRC as driving an '05 Cobalt. He's #18 on the SS Q-1 list.

At that time, it was powered by a 428 Pontiac engine. https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...r2019#indextop So, I'd like to ask a favor of someone with access to the pits. Please go to the Johns/Frantz SS pit, take a look at the engine in the '05 Cobalt, perm #391, & post what brand engine it is. Will really appreciate it if someone who has access & the time will do this for me & all Pontiac fans who may be interested. IF it does have Pontiac power, please post a pic of the engine, if you have a way to do this. Thanks in advance !
