Correct on temporary usage. The darker the jug the better. But not a fix all. Steel pails or drums of fuel are the best way to store

Use plastic jugs exclusively for holding ethanol free gas for pit bike and lawn mower or get extra diesel fuel on the rare instance it find it priced reasonably. Worth it to pay the extra for pails, a DQ once was all it took to learn my lesson.
