Personally I think if the dems / Libs keep control of our country beyond the next 3 years all racing will be in jeopardy. No way will they allow us continue with burning leaded racing fuel, smoking tires. Much less nitro. Maybe they will allow Methanol to be used. We burn a lot of diesel fuel traveling to the race tracks around the country. All of this is against the ways of the liberals. They just dont understand that this is part of our freedoms to be able to race cars, motorcycles, boats, Airplanes and what ever else is being raced.
I doubt racing as we know it will be around more than about 5 years if things dont change. So get out there and enjoy it while you can. I plan to.
Great post!

We have to approach this one piece at a time. There is a lot that we can do to change the overall image of racing.

If you take the racecar by itself, the carbon impact is negligible. It can be offset by planting a few trees.

Next year, I plan to do a full assessment of the carbon footprint of my racing operation and share my results and what it takes to offset my impact.

One thing I don't understand. You have all of these private corp jets flying around. Why not ground them and make the owners fly commercial?

I understand, the rules are for me and you and not for John Kerry.

I contacted my congressman about supporting the RPM act. He responded and said that while he sympathizes with me as a race car owner, he thinks fighting climate change is more important. Thanks for nothing. I live in communist Massachusetts, all demo-rats...

In Arizona, David Schweikert (R), Kyrsten Synema (D), sent me responses supporting the RPM Act. Mark Kelly (D) supports the RPM Act too.

This is an excerpt from a letter I received from Kyrsten Synema:

"I recognize the importance of addressing global climate change and believe we can reduce emissions as we responsibly develop our energy resources. I support the EPA's efforts to modernize vehicle emission regulations to promote efficiency and reduce emissions. I am also concerned that regulations like those proposed in 2015 threaten to unnecessarily punish amateur motorsports enthusiasts. Arizona is home to many motorsports enthusiasts and has a rich tradition of amateur racing. I cosponsored the RPM Act to guarantee that the EPA cannot infringe on a responsible individual's hobbies or passions. I am committed to continue working with my colleagues to find commonsense, bipartisan solutions to reduce vehicle emissions and address the real challenges of global climate change."

This is a fight that we can't fight on that level.

They are the mass offenders. We just need to educate them....

addressing global climate change is funny to me but I suspect some foreign countries should be looked at with its issues with pollution lol I am not a supporter of Climate change I can think for myself. I do not believe the climate BS it's all about money. The politicians cannot think for themselves unless you give them a lot of money under the table or openly then they will do as you mandate to them
