Those were my 1st attempt….I just used a scrap piece or carbon roll bar tube and cut them to fit the original mirror gasket. I went back and re did them with a flat piece of carbon.. Still need to find a better screw.

I machined something like that out of scrap aluminum for my Mustang and fastened it with studs to the stock door holes. I can add a mirror if I need one without removing anything. Yours is nicer, BTW.

----LOOKS terrific----you might try a BLACK chrome button head screw---looks better than a Phillips screw plus it won't rust---FED 387
