It’s awful strange how an LT1 can now have a 300lb lighter shipping weight than an LS1. Never seen an iron block motor get so much lighter than an aluminum version! What is driving these sweeping changes across so many vehicles? I’m assuming there are some whiners that got in the ears of decision makers and now it’s affecting a whole lot of racers for no good reason.

So, how many cars are going to show up next week at Pomona and be in the wrong class???? How will it be fixed to make everyone happy?? Good luck to all at Pomona.

I may not race anymore, but I have plenty of friends that race Stock and Super Stock. I can just see the complaint list now.

Are the new shipping weights written in blue?

Is the LS1 stick no longer eligible for A/S?

It looks like the Ram Air combo is now a natural D/S car. So C-E instead of A-C.

I would highly recommend that everyone look at their classification sheet before the first race.
After over 50 years,NHRA says that a 1970 442 W-30 was never offered in a convertible.
News to me.
