We spent three days at the track pitted in the chip seal last month at the D5 race .. anything and everything you touched turned your hands black. The floor of my trailer was a mess, let alone my 2year old grandson who was collecting the rocks. Add to adventure.. I70 sucks for towing over the hill from the Western Slope... So we passed this year.

This is most likely where Stock will be. I was in the middle-ish of rigs coming in last year and getting towards the front of the line and Rob Parks told me "Stock on the north side". In the 20+ Mile Highs I've run I've been in the "North 40" in all but 3 times. It doesn't phase me anymore.

Quite a reputation that place has. It's a shame because it can be a very unique event.
The only redeeming factor is a low car count at a national event increases your chance to win the big Wally.

They will not be letting anyone park early on Rooney Rd. The have No parking signs on the shoulder, and chased a couple trailers out of there yesterday. I live 2 miles away, and have driven by a few times.

They did have no parking signs along Rooney Rd., but lots of rigs were parked there anyway without a problem, mine included.

The Mile High Nationals is very much a part of Morrison Colorado and creates enhanced opportunities for the local business community.

Those who are competing this weekend, enjoy the event and facility while it's still available. The subdivision across the street is scary close.

When I told a Denver-area racer that I was likely to skip the Bandimere divisional this year, he told me to get there while I can. He gave it about 5 years.

I’ve only been there once, but such a nice place. And I was even pitted in the storage area behind the sand trap.

It may not have been true but I have heard in the past that the land the houses are built on was once owned by the Bandimere family and there are deed restrictions that preclude them from taking any action against the track for noise etc.

That being said I used to have an attorney that said "you can't lock the court house door" or said another way you still can't keep people from suing.
