We miss you Bob and hope Ms Penny is doing well after the surgery.
Butch I'm not sure when they're going to have sheets but I'll find out and have some when available.
Stock just finished final qualifying run and SS is in the lanes so we'll be ready for 1st round shortly.
Side note is I finally got to meet Superfan 1 Mr Bill Seabrooks after all these years and he is taking pictures and hopefully will post some later. I've taken a few but it's moving rather quickly so maybe I can post later.

Hopefully Bill will be on the track for starting line shots. I’m pretty sure Ken would allow it.

I would have been there myself but health issues withe my wife starting chemo yesterday and I tested positive for covid on top of that.
It's a great race where the racers are celebrated with various prizes as well as excellent payouts! Stay the course, timing wise Covid and then fuel price hikes really altered a lot of peoples schedules

True racers & true friends should need not to explain themselves as to why they did not attend! Anyone asking for reasons, is not someone you need to associate with!

SS ran down to 1 car left and there were 2 Stockers left. They were then combined with the lone Super Stock losing in the semi against Bubba that's why there was 2 Stockers in the lone final.

I didn't see where anyone was asked to explain himself. I offered an explanation since Ken works his backside off to give class racers a place to race and feel valued.

Everyone seems to complain ad infinitum about NHRA's treatment of class racers and the lack of payout. Ken did something about it, and has for several years. What's his reward? Look at the car count today. Beside Ken and other's commitment, what about the sponsors?

I gave my explanation upon free will. My only thought was about how much time and effort he continues to put into providing a fun, competitive event, and I didn't show up. It was the least I could do.

I 100% appreciate all that Ken does! But blaming racers for not showing isn't the answer.

When Ken started this 3 years ago during the pandemic many people didn't have a place to race.
First of all, Kenny didn't do anything wrong. He has a great program.

A couple of friends were there for the Div. race. They then went out to Columbus for the supposed double Div. race there. Then they had to get back to get ready for Epping and Indy. Fact is , there are just too many NHRA races in the Summer months on the East Coast.

Going out on a limb here ,but I'd say that about 90% of S/SS racers do it for Wallys and for the ego. Most can afford to do it, so big pay independent races are a low priority. They don't do it for the money.
As John Prine would say, " That's the way that the world goes 'round "...
