This is not the happy post you were all looking for. It’s also not the way we wanted our Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series season to end. But, with the outlook of Hurricane Ian making it’s way north, there is no real positive scenario in completing the event in the fashion you all expect and deserve. With no dates available at Virginia Motorsports Park, we (the track and division office) have made the tough decision to cancel the event with no reschedule. We hope you all understand that this was not an easy decision, but we feel it’s the best decision we could make to allow everyone to stay safe during the storm. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Why not make the Dutch Classic. A divisional.
Not an open race. I understand the office doesn’t want to do a double race. Why not. ?

I am pretty sure Dave probably weighed every option out to reschedule the event or move it to another location. Every track is packed with things the rest of the year.
