Appreciate the reports Paul. Lot of anticipation waiting for the ladders to be posted. Would be kinda cool for Santangelo to magically appear on the sheet but recognize it would be a tall mountain to climb given how Cooter is driving. Would never count out Burton though so the NHRA broadcast will probably get lots of views. The single camera view from the tower leaves me wanting more of Warren’s expertise but guess what we see is what we get.

Was actually expecting a full field, inflation sucks.

Although not a Stock or super Stock car, (although he does run late model Cobra Jet Mustangs in those classes), I noticed in the Vegas LODRS race, qualifying list, for Top Sportsman, Gary Coe from Oregon is qualified with a 7.62 @ 178 MPH in a 1957 Custom 300. Back in the 60s, Coes raced a 57 Ford in C/Altered, called the "Gunfighter", that was always a fan favorite in the Northwest, before he got into Pro Stock. Anyhow, as a fan of 50s Fords , if anybody could put up some photos of Coes new 57 Ford, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Jon had a heads up in D/SA
We did not find out about ladder changing
until 10 or 15 minutes before we had to head up.
Jon pulled it out by 3 or 4 hundred but it would be nice to
have a little warning up to prepare the car.

I heard Alan Reinhart say there are about 700 cars that entered. Looks like down to Brad as far as the Championship for this race in stock. Could be another D/SA heads up John in the 3rd round for you.

I don't know if other divisions do it, but the W.W.Williams SST, SG and SC shootout at every division race seems to really screw up the schedule. Not sure why the .90 classes get a race within the divisional race, while other classes get shorted runs.

Yes,Division 3 does it and I don't know why it is such a high priority all the time.

I believe because they pay NHRA money to run the event at a Divisonal.

Jon races Brad in D/SA 3rd round.
We raced him here a year or two ago
and Jon went -1.06 under with a Double 0
and Brad went around him with about
.100 light and went - 1.17or 1.19 as I remember.

We will be lucky to run that good again air is
OK but not great! Our average is OK so a hit
will not hurt us any and we have not been able
to go 1.20 for a very long time (Since our last HP hit)

We are 314 HP/340ci and the 455 Pontiacs are about the same
HP at 455ci. but I am too old to change brands after 60 years of
Mopars.
