We have always used Hypertech tuners in
our Camaro bracket cars years ago.
Moving the rev limiter and shift points up
helps some. Plus leaning out the engine and
cooling down the fans speeds (That is what
I recall).

My boy dusted off his LS1 Camaro (only 20,000 miles on it) that
was his 14th Birthday Presentand won the LS fest in Vegas
this year with it 12.8 @112 with the hypertech and drag radials.

I have a stack of them in the Garage getting dusty and I "think"
the same year and model fits both 6 and 8 cylinder.
I am not a Chevy guy by any means!
