Hey guys, don’t you see what is going here? It’s a diversionary tactic to get all of the attention away from quotas and AHFS! Probably something like “let’s give those STK/SS crybabies something to really whine about!”

Ok, ok. But what is the reason behind this new rule? Who cares if some people use blinders? Are some people OFFENDED by others that use blinders, and they don't? Did somebody complain to NHRA about this to get it changed, or is it simply the liberal California special people that are worried about equality for all? Maybe they should ask for reperations for past offenses. Hahahaha

Can we tally up how many rules are in the rulebook for S/SS that arent getting enforced? We have all met and ran into the officials in the staging lanes, those guys are just trying to get us paird up and organized and just trying to keep the peace. At no point are they trying to look at our cars for illegal stuff. Guys like Dave Ley, who is a a walking rule book and pretty much knows what everyone is doing, has his hands tied. Hence why he's not at national events. Now, heres a scenario...its the final at any national or divisional, you know your opponent blocks because of their obnoxious 10" blinders hanging down from the roll cage, or the tape all over the windshield. Your .040 and they are .00 and they win on a holeshot. The rules clearly state that blockers are prohibited. You suck it up and accept the loss? Or do you make NHRA play their hand. Problem is, if you go to NHRA and they do nothing then what are we all doing here.

Choose a slower class like T, U, V, W, you'll always have a clean tree, no blinder necessary.

My guess would be so that Racers can't "bottom bulb" with a long switch.

If the starter is in charge he could turn your lane red if he saw a blinder. I wouldn't want to take that risk.

Can the starter do that?
That may explain a lot.

You know, this latest rule change just mirrors what is going on in the USA. If a Democrat doesn’t own a gun, he doesn’t want ANYONE to own one. If a Republican (ME) doesn’t own a gun , he is fine with other citizens owning one. As I grow older, I didn’t realize we had so many WHINY AZZ, CHICKEN CHITs racing stock eliminator. First it was DEEP staging, now it’s BLINDERS ……

So who and when will this rule be enforced
In tech 😂
No blinder needed.
Just like deep staging
I have seen the who top of the windshield blocked with tap
I’ve see. Huge cardboard hanging of helmet and ripped off by driver as they leave

So that’s safe ?
It’s the blockers that have pushed the rule beyond what it was.
So get rid of them. Good riddance
