Nothing would have to be done. The car being referred to was a grand national body. The engine parts are really getting kind of scarce

If I were 20 years younger I would build a 1962 Pontiac Tempest 115 hp 4 cylinder for W/SA. No cylinder head specs.,no carb specs, no piston specs..

It has a steel bar, held in a bowed position, by a series of rubber encased bushings, all inside a bent square tube. The idea was to give it more flat floor space. It was billed as a 6 passenger car. In any case , it's way too bizarre for me, and that's saying something. ;-)
