Bruce,
What is your definition of taking someone out? Kyle K.'s car most likely has to be back-halved. As far as Kyle C. (Stalba's) car I am sure the per race rental fee wasn't coming out of Kyle C.'s weekly allowance. Bruce, quick question, have you ever let go of a trans-brake button before? Asta |

Is this for real. What business is of anybody other that Kyle, Kyle and Toms. The fact of hitting the brakes they were both on the brake as well as anyone that wants to win.. Apartently the guy from the top would rather just drive dragster to the car shows looking start ahead for the win. This is bracket racing and the gas pedal and the brakes come into play. At least there brakes work!!
Leave the kid alone. We have all made mistakes in this game and keep learning everyday. I also no for a fact that Kyle has taken responsibility on his own to fulfill his obligation to Tom, that says more about him than anything else can...

I was the pair DIRECTLY in front of the Kyle race and let me tell you that in that round I drove the crap out of my car from the 1/8 mi to the 1000ft from the 12mph cross wind and wasnt comfortable with hitting the brakes if that continued past the 1000'. However it did get better and I did jump on my brakes and had NO PROBLEMS. But I have been driving long enough to "feel what the car is doing" and possibly Kyle C got caught in a slide that he didn't know he was in!
Anybody reading this knows that there has been more than one instance that they were in a crossed up race car because of there own stupidity! WE LIVE AND LEARN! I bet next time the "Kyles" are behind the wheel they will have a greater respect for what can happen in a blink of an eye! |

Sorry to minimize the damage to Kyle K's car.
I was just thankful that the two cars didn't tangle and someone really get hurt. Asta, yes, of course, but most of my runs were in a stick shift. Bruce Deveau |

![]() ![]() Kyle Koretsky, son of Pro Stock racer Kenny Koretsky, was unhurt in a top end crash at the recently completed Lucas Oil Divisional event in Dinwiddie, VA. Koretsky was racing Kyle Cultrera driving the Thomas Stalba entry in the second round of Super Comp when Cultera’s dragster swapped lanes and ran into the “Kid Chaos” dragster of Koretsky. Neither driver was injured in the mishap but both dragsters were heavily damaged. Koretsky, who had won the round, was unable to continue in eliminations. “We had a great running car this weekend and we felt we could win this event”, said Koretsky after the crash. When asked if he would get the car back together before the next event in Bristol Koretsky replied “The dragster is pretty messed up with some heavy chassis damage, but I am going to get out there and see if I can get another car to race. We are in this for the points”. |

Both Kyle C. and Kyle K. are extremely talented drivers. The incident that happened may have been driver error, lack of experience, or like Chris stated possibly the conditions that played a part. Maybe it was a combo of all of these, either way I am sure everybody involved feels horrible for what happened. We all know that when you stage a race car anything can happen. I have seen the most talented of racers wreck cars. Whether it be mid-track, finish line, or ending up in the sand trap. I have seen former national champs smack cars up. The thing that confuses me is when someone that was not involved in anyway with the incident can come on a "class" racer forum and call someone an idiot. Maybe I am wrong and Mr Kendall knows Kyle and the Cultrera family well enough to speak about him like that. I wish all of the people involved the best of luck with this unfortunate situation. I am sure everybody has learned a tough lesson. Bryan
