Just curious, is a 1999 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 straight 6, 2wd worth putting time, effort or money into for a stocker?

I would say yes! BUT first get perfectly clear confirmation from NHRA, is it a car or is it a truck? It's listed in the guide under trucks.

So, is there an advantage/ disadvantage to whether it is a car or truck?

Unless things have changed recently, the trucks were allowed .430" lift, even if the same engine in a car was considerably less lift.

Well that's interesting. So far, I can't get the engine specs to display ( I think it's a system glitch because some will display and some models wont)
