Why is there no interest in all new combos

A lot of younger folks into NT / Grudge and No-Prep racing.

Not so much into these other classes. Cost and relatability are two issues.

I think because of less safety restrictions , cameras covering teams and Discovery. TV.

Lot's of truth to this. My local dragstrip packs out every thursday night for testing and grudge, but when's the last time you saw more than 10 fans at a divisional to watch Stock eliminator? Not bashing STK of course, I think it's awesome and I make sure to spread the gospel to all my friends, they just don't get it or understand the history behind it.
