I ran radial slicks on my 3880 lb. footbrake launched chevelle for 10 years that 60 footed a best of 1.28. There is no 9” radial tire going 160+ passes on a 3800+ lb. car going 1.30s in 60 foots
Say what ! 1320 you arent stupid but you certainly didnt read what I said . My prefered tyre is the PBR 29.5x10.5 which goes 160-180 . I noted this was more than the others I had run , so no I cant get that many passes from a Hoosier . Never wore GY out due to multiple punctures in one tyre at a meeting . And yes we have all seen your Chevelle links . Yes it was good but no better than many others . Sorry to OP for the sidetrack . Tex |

You are correct with getting more runs with a PBR radial over a Hoosier. I can get easy 150 runs out of a lightweight Hoosier & an easy 200 runs out of a M/T PBR. As for a Goodyear, never ran their radials. As for the OP, this thread is from 2017. |
