I just replaced SS braided line that was in service for 20 years without issue. I’m now using black nylon braided Lines.

I've gone to PTFE lined braided hose for all fuel lines and transmission lines.
It will outlast any rubber type hose and will generally handle higher pressures and temps than typical rubber type braided hose. I particularly like it for injection systems that are running 50 -90 psi.
