Thanks Larry, smashing away at it, lol.
Checked my tester and its about 10 heavy. Good news is, i picked up new springs and +.050 locks and combined with my moly retainers i think i got it. Just dropped it off and spent 10 minutes checking before taking off to town. More to follow but i might be good

Between the +.050 locks and some moly retainers plus some shims i found from 30 years ago, i got it! Break in pressure is 50 on the seat and 150 over the nose on all + or - 5# Running pressure will be 110-120 on the seat and 265-270 over the nose Once that was done i rechecked all the stem heights and found a couple too tall so i trimmed them about .020 on the 4-5 i had to adjust. Next up was a way to check the springs on the head? cant find my checker so i made one that fits the rocker arm and a 1/4? drive torque wrench. By taking the springs on and off to confirm, i found 50? # is equal to 50? # on the spring. 90? is 90? etc. Now i can confirm spring pressure on the car. Another benefit to the tool is, i bolted the rocker arms down, then used the tool to compress the springs .400 or so and after using market on the tips i was able to (crudely) approximate where the rocker and spring contact. Almost all are a thin line on the stem but some are a little towards the outside which means the rocker arm is too high (or you have too long of a pushrod) Obviously its not perfect, might of pulled too far or not far enough which would affect where it marks but generally it was pretty good. Pulled the intake and heads off the car and now have to pull the front of the engine off to change the cam. Getting closer!

Okay guys, I did some checking.
Yes, any valve job means just that. Grinding the seat area on a valve is part of a valve job , so that's legal..at any angle. Back cutting the area of the valve above the sealing angle,...legal, and part of "any valve job" Reduced stem between the valve head and the guide .."Any valve job" Cutting the sides of the combustion chamber away with your top cut... Yes, you guessed it.."any valve job" Apparently , no modifying of the chamber refers to grinding or cutting in the plug area, and between the valves Oh, and + or - 1 degree does refer to the fixed valve angle in the head...not what it used to mean. Of course angle milling a certain amount could put the valve at more than 1 degree different than the factory spec, but angle milling is legal. Some of this sounds contradictory , but there it is. I hope this helps a few racers that aren't familiar with reading between the lines of the rule book.

Clarity is always good, most keep their cards near their chest, i throw them on table face up and say “I don’t know how to play, is this hand good”? Lol. If i ever fail tech it will be because i didnt know, not because “ I know a speed secret” or even know how to “push the boundaries”.

Converting to a canted valve ok if angled towards a port is needed? May only be 2 degrees worth.

If you installed the larger screw in studs to help stop some of the lift loss from deflection, a racer could regain the correct rocker valve angel relationship. I think
