Its not altered, for the air shift, a spring is altered. I used to run it shifting myself, which was ideal, except for the straight 2-3 was too soft and I could too easily go from 1 to 3. If I had to do it again, I'd likely alter the shift pattern with some sheet metal like some have done to keep that from happening.

Clean neutral? That?s that little thingy that sticks up off the gate, make it taller if you feel insecure, why you pulling up the lever? That?s only used to go into reverse. I?m talking the TA shifter of course. Thousands and thousands of shifts and never 1-3 and never into reverse.
