Indy was the first National event where the text messaging worked for me. Todd Rodenburg

I worked at a bunch of tracks over the years. 40? 50?
It's funny (but logical) that the most racer-centric tracks I can remember were Earlville and No Problem. At the time I was there, both owned and operated by racers. I know Mr Hill had a problem with track prep at Earlville one year, but that's the only complaint I've ever heard or seen. It's easier and easier to take shots at the NHRA these days, but one would think an organization founded on "by racers for racers" would have specifications for what tracks must do for their customers written right into the contract. |

The current management is concerned with Entry fees and sponsor moneys and big time pay checks... The racer is just kind of a necessary inconvinence! |

We felt bad about breaking a promise to one of the track owners that I met at the PRI Show of racing there this year. We could get to the track after Indy but if we did good in eliminations we could not get home in time for Patsy outpatient surgery. Maybe next year we hope, Earlville is always a good time!
